Banner ideas

Posted on April 11, 2005

So since I’m not the graphic design expert that I wish I was, I have decided to use my own photos as the top banner of this blog. I have done so on my other blog, Tortuous Path, as well. For the moment, I have thrown up a pic I took a couple weeks ago while we were hiking on a trail. It’s a decent picture and I have used a shot from the same hike on the other blog, but I’m not totally satisfied yet.

I intend to use a photo that is relevant to the topic of church tech. So, I offer the idea out here and I am looking for any suggestions. What would a good photo be for this blog? I have an idea or 2 of what I think and I’ll probably do that when I get around to it. But just for fun I would like to hear some other ideas, if anyone has any.

The catch is that it has to be a photo that I can take. You can’t suggest a photo of the leaning tower of Pisa or something like that, unless you are willing to fund a trip for me to go. I’m not looking for stock photos, these are originals, baby! You could suggest photos from the trail at the George Washington Carver museum, that would be appropriate, considering that is within short driving distance from my house.(about 30 minutes or so) But actually that’s where the pics are from that I am currently using, so it’s gotta be a little more creative than that.

It’s a pretty neat trail, actually and I got some good pics. I may share some more of the photos at Tortuous Path. But for this blog I’m looking for a specific theme of church and technology. I also don’t want a picture of a church, I want something that shows a little bit of creativity. Also, I intend to change it periodically, so I’ll probably do whatever is suggested at some point..

Let me know what you think would be a good pictureto use.
