I spent last night restoring my lost posts from the big crash of this blog last week. I was able to restore all but about 20 posts from backup, but the post date was dropped. Praise the Lord for Bloglines, all of my posts are archived there, so I added the post date back to each one. I still had the 20 missing posts in my backup file, I just couldn’t get them to load to the table, so I did the ol’ copy and paste on each of them to get them back in there, plus had to figure out the permalink address (thank you, once again, bloglines). As far as I know, I have only totally lost 1 post, which is not a big deal, it was one of my rants that I’m sure I will rant on again soon.
My biggest problem now is the comments are not sync’d up. Since I had to add several posts back in, I need to go thru and change the links between the posts and comments, so each comment is attached to the correct post. Maybe today, we’ll see what happens.
