Kidz Blitz Live

Our church just hosted Kidz Blitz Live the past 2 evenings and it was awesome! It is a fun time for both kids and adults. Roger Fields puts on a show that involves a lot of kid participation, various challenges and games and he even gets the adults involved. Check out their website to learn more about what they do. According to the site:

Our purpose is to make a positive, spiritual impact on kids and parents.

The site also details the following:

some of what you will see!

Tower of Power

Flying Donut Chew

The Big Hammer

T-Shirt Cannon

Xtreme Hula

T.P. Bazooka

The Big Sword

The Poof!

The Close Shave

Plus the Ultimate Kidz Blitz
Chicken & Bone Challenge!

And Sooooo Much More!

It is very much a family event and an event that can draw people to church who might not normally come to church.

The show is fast paced and scripture is used all throughout. Each night there was an altar call for kids and adults and I know many responded. Also, we had over 30 area churches represented the first night, so that is very cool.

Take it from me, this is a first class event, a funtime for all and with a purpose. Plus, the way we did it, the kids had a craft time with cookies and lemonade after the show.

The stage was packed full of props and things. The setup took about 2 hours on Sunday evening, then the tear down took less than that last night. I tried to take pictures last night with the camera on my phone, but the bright white background in the spotlights did not cooperate with my camera. I wish I would have taken my real camera.

On a side note, a buddy of mine and I were self proclaimed security for both nights. We secured all 3 craft areas ahead of time, making sure no one was stealing cookies or anything. Of course, we had to sample the cookies to ensure they were worth stealing! The building was secure by the time the show started, thanks to the tight security! As a result, the crowd was well behaved……ok they might have been well behaved anyways, but we felt like we contributed.
