New books

Posted on August 19, 2005 by Jim Walton

I’m pumped. Today I order some new books. I have almost finished the books I have on hand, which mostly don’t belong to me (thanks, non-blog Brad!) I haven’t had any mysterious mishaps with his books lately in thunderstorms so that is good.

But it’s time for me to expand my own library, so I ordered the following:

Let Your Life Speak: The Voice of Vocation by Parker Palmer

Velvet Elvis: Repainting the Christian Faith by Rob Bell

And, the bonus book, because it was only 2 bucks:

We’ve Got Blog: How Weblogs Are Changing Our Culture By: Editors of Perseus Publishing, Rebecca Blood (I already got the e-mail on this one, it’s in the mail today!)

Should be good stuff.

Last night I picked up Your God Is Too Safe by Mark Buchanan. I bought this book about 4 years ago, really wanting to read it and I have started it numerous times, lost it a time or two, due to moving and it keeps resurfacing. I still really want to read it, so I gotta dig in and get it done.

If I figure out my newest plug-in Amazon Media Manager anytime soon, I’ll put the book images on here, just for fun.
