Be still and be busy(?)

This is me writing a post. It’s a new thing for me. Well ok, not exactly but it’s been awhile. I’m still here, I have just been buried in my life. Between work and church stuff, I haven’t gotten home before 9 each night this week, since last Saturday and oftentimes, it has been 11:00 or 11:30.

It’s been crazy and I’m tired. Not actually tired but worn out. So here it is 1:14 a.m. and I’m still up. The fact is this is the first moment in my week that I haven’t been doing something somewhere else, primarily church, or asleep. So, it’s approaching the middle of the night, but this is nice. It’s quiet, music playing, and I have no demands on me. I’ve got to get to bed soon, we have a full weekend ahead, but it’s family stuff and I’m looking forward to that.

There is more church tech stuff ahead. We’ve got F1 on the horizon and we are beginning to ramp up for that. We are building our own kiosks for check-in, based on GCC’s custom built kiosks. (Thanks for the pics of your kick butt kiosks and the measurements, Jason! They are sweet!)

There’s other stuff rolling around in my head too, so it’s bound to fall out soon, hopefully onto this screen….heh!

Remember the Light of Eternity post? I mentioned about our small group study last week and in the end, I said the challenge for this week (which is now the week we just finished) is to be still. As I begin to focus on being still, I end up having the busiest week in my recent history. The challenge this week is to be still and prioritize my time, as well. The family has gotten put off this last week, but I intend for this week to be different. It’s in the Lord’s hands and it’s up to me to be still and surrender to Him.
