Rick at Caffeinated Adventures Caffeinated Adventures has a great quote by Brian McLaren

What you focus on determines what you miss.

I want to echo Rick by asking the same questions of myself:

  • What am I missing because of what I’m focusing on?
  • Where am I missing out because I’m not looking there?
  • What am I focusing on, and does that mean that I’m missing something else?

Great questions, Rick!

The Lord really has me at a place of getting me to focus on the things that really matter and this quote hits close to where I’m at.

    … or to not focus too much, too keep some peripheral vision going, too :) . see what i mean? this is nuts! thanks for the encouragement and trackback. much appreciated – but i’m not focusing on it. promise!
