2 F1 blogs for the price of one, what a bargain!

Posted on October 19, 2005

To quote Jason:

Now what are the odds that 2 Fellowship One based blogs would launch on the same day?!

The answer is pretty good.

Stuart started his called Adventures with Fellowship One, and here is his post announcing it.  Stu says:

Adventures with Fellowship One is an online journal (alright, "blog") tracking my and others’ experiences with the fastest growing Church Management System currently on the market - Fellowship One. The site will feature step-by step tutorials, tips, tricks and other things that might have otherwise made you go mad had you not known about them.

Also, the good folks at F1 started their own blog and it’s called Accelerating the Dynamic Church.   They say this about their blog:

Welcome to the Dynamic Church blog!  Here we will share our views on how technology can be utilized by the local church to effectively care for people, efficiently manage resources, and enable real growth.  We will also be discussing our views on Church Managment Systems, technology trends, and many other topics.

Both blogs encourage interaction and they both look to be great resources.

Are they competing?  Absolutely not.  In fact, I think they compliment each other and will both be great public forums for the ins and outs of F1.

I have to plug the people behind these efforts as well.  I have gotten to know Stu thru our commenting back and forth on each other’s blogs, plus thru some pretty in depth e-mail conversations on a variety of topics.  Stu is one of those guys that you just want to hang around because he knows what he’s talking about.  He has a ton of technical knowledge and he has been there and done that.  He’s a guy that is very willing to share his knowledge and experience and bring the rest of us along for the ride.

As far as the people behind F1, this is a classy organization and their heart is truly in what they are doing.  The times that I have talked with the people there, they are knowledgeable and they care about your needs and concerns and address these things.  These guys are not just doing their jobs, this is where God has placed them to serve the church and they do it well.

Ok, enough with the sappy commentary.

Welcome to both new blogs!

You are too kind, my Friend! You are dead-on when you said that the blogs are not competing. In fact, I told Jason on his post that I knew I was going to get some kind of response from Fellowship Tech and that this was the best I could have hoped for. If they followed my blog, then this move on their part adds to their “classiness”. If they were first, then I honestly didn’t know it. BTW, when are we going to have lunch together? :)

You know, it’s funny, Stu, I was thinking that same kind of thing today, probably when I was writing this post about your blog. I thought, man, I need to find a reason to get to Dallas so we can at least meet. Wish there was a business trip to Dallas on the horizon!
