Refreshing Your Eyes

Posted on April 20, 2006

Lifehacker points to a post at WikiHow on exercising your eyes.  For those of us that sit in front of a computer screen all day and night, this is probably some good things to practice.  Although, I didn’t sit at the computer much last night, instead I installed a window unit air conditioner upstairs in my girls room.  The lesson learned is that it takes a little more effort than just sticking it in the window.  It was a task that took a couple of hours, but it’s in now and should keep them cool this summer.  We are in the process of moving their room upstairs and it will give them their own space and more of it.

Anyways, back to your eyes.  Another tip is to crank up your refresh rate on your screen as high as you can.  Generally, the higher the resolution, the lower the refresh rate is.

To get to refresh rate, go to your desktop, right click, Properties, Settings, Advanced, Monitor, then click the dropdown and set the number as high as possible.
