You know that time in a kid’s life, when they’re still a kid, but they’re becoming young adults? They are a little of both and at times, they might lean one way, then, next thing you know, they lean the other. This is common in 10-12 year olds, maybe a little younger and maybe a little older. This is a hard age to reach, on any level, especially Spiritually and it’s also a critical time in their development and many of us need all the help we can get in this area.
A resource can be found in Preteen Edge. Joe is a friend of mine and a guy that totally has a heart for preteens. Joe is the minister of preteens at the church that I called home for over 3 years, Christ’s Church of Oronogo and he is all about making his blog a resource for preteen ministry. Joe says:
With this blog, my goal is to use it as an informative tool to both the parents and preteens that I minister too, as well as using it as a resource tool for those of us who minister to preteens and their families. This will be accomplished by the use of stories from my life, from my ministry, and the community abroad. At times, there will be resource tools posted on this blog, such as other preteen ministry sites, curriculum, parent helps, and anything else that will be helpful to preteens, parents, and fellow preteen workers.
So, bookmark Preteen Edge or add the feed to your feedreader or do whatever it is that you do to keep track of sites you want to go back to because this is one to keep an eye on and keep up with.
