Bible Study – No More Excuses

It’s official!

As of Friday September 8, 2006, eBible is out of beta and open to the public.  This means that you no longer need an invite to get in.  Just go to eBible and start reading or searching or studying.  You are welcome to sign up and this allows you to bookmark passages, among other things.

So if you never got an invite, consider this your invitation, just click here.

Also, don’t miss Andy’s list of great Bible study tools at his blog.  According to the comment he left here:

Your readers should know that http://www.biblegateway.com/ is better than ever.  They now have the TNIV (2005), ESV (2001), NLT (2004), NASB (1995), HCSB (2003), The Message (2002), CEV (1995), and the NIrV (1998).   You can look up five versions of a passage at a time and view them side by side.

Andy goes on to tell me that his resources don’t have my beloved tags.  That’s probably ok, though.  I have been captivated by tagging and feel somewhat drawn to the idea, but I’m still trying to fully understand their use, on a practical level.  I get it, I really do, but the reality is, I tag things but never use the tags as a cross reference.  I haven’t quite fully embraced the concept, but I intend to.
This is all good.  Find ways to use your computer to draw you closer to Christ.  What’s your excuse now for not reading the Bible regularly?  What’s my excuse?  (That’s really what I’m asking)
