Firefox vs. IE — One More Thing

Posted on September 9, 2006 by Jim Walton

Looking back, it seems I failed to mention a very important point.  Although I don’t use Internet Explorer for most things, I do keep up with what the IE7 developers are doing and this latest version appears to be more secure.  I think I came across as saying IE was all bad and that’s not the case.

I use what I’m used to and I recommend what I’m used to and oftentimes, a church or small business client will not want to change browsers due to a variety of reasons.  In that case, I take all the necessary precautions and provide information on what needs to be done to keep everything as secure as possible, using IE.

Ultimately, I would encourage you to explore your options, know the pros and the cons of each and make a well informed decision.
