Road Trip - WiredChurches Regional Workshop
Posted on October 16, 2006
Tomorrow, I’m off to the WiredChurches.com Regional workshops in Lenexa, KS and I’m really looking forward to it. I’m going with Brad and some others from his church and I’ll be attending the Communications workshop, where Kem Meyer will teach us how to:
- Trim down what your audience sees.
- Make the information you provide easy to use.
- Focus from the outside in, not the inside out.
- Keep the main thing the main thing.
- Go to a whole new level of professional – that no one expects from “just a church.”
It should be a great day. I read Kem Meyer’s blog and she is extremely knowledgeable on communications and many other things, as well.
Maybe I’ll blog while I’m there, but then again, maybe not. I learned at the Leadership Institute that it’s pretty tough to do live blogging, but some guys do it well, that’s for sure. So, we’ll just have to wait and see.
If you read this and you’re going to be there, look for Brad and I wandering around, we would love to meet you. Of course, we’ll be on the road by 5:30am to get there, so we may be half asleep.
Any volunteers willing to sit next to Brad and elbow him to keep him awake?
