2007 Goals

Posted on January 2, 2007 by Jim Walton

My goals for 2007:

  1. Shorter posts – break longer, more detailed posts up into multiple posts
  2. Guest bloggers- Consider this an open invitation to anyone wanting to contribute a post or 2. Contact me with your ideas and thoughts, if interested
  3. Be more focused and relevant – get back into what this blog is supposed to be focused on, equipping the church to effectively use technology.
  4. Build on the Church Tech Matters brand – Things are already in motion, behind the scenes. Stay tuned over the next couple of months, I’ll be making some announcements, but for now there is still alot of work to get done.

My non-blog goals for 2007:

  1. Understand call waiting – I understand the concept, I have no clue when it comes to making it happen when the pressure is on. Somebody’s getting dropped, that’s a fact. Am I the only one with issues like this?

What are your goals this year?

Brother, how about revamping your blogs design to strengthen your branding exercise? I am not pitching for the job, if i had time, i would do it for free, but i am really tied up.

Hey Leon, that’s exactly what one of the steps of the process is! I am redesigning the blog template (and not letting Jim mess with the code this time!). It’s a lot sleeker and hopefuly more visually appealing. Definitely not so much clutter. Unfortunately Jim’s design often has to take a backseat to my paid design work so it’s going slower than I really wanted it to.

One of my goals is to participate more with fellow church technology-related bloggers. Consider this a first step as I start to read through all you have to offer.
