Day For Announcements
Posted on January 12, 2007
Brad’s better at keeping up than I am and he’s been pummeling me with big news all morning.
The first announcement is that Terry Storch is leaving Fellowship Church and joining the team at LifeChurch. From Tony Morgan’s blog:
For those of you who are newer to blogging, Terry used to own the hottest blog on the web for church leaders with a bent toward technology. Until this week, he had served on the leadership team at Fellowship Church in Dallas where, most recently, he was the campus pastor of their downtown location. You can read more of his story here.
This is an exciting move, knowing all that LifeChurch is doing and the way their reach is expanding, I think Storch is going to take their work up a notch. I’ll ask the same thing that Tony asks, Terry, now will you start blogging again?

That alone is big enough news for one day, but Tony wouldn’t let it stop there. He goes on to say this about himself in another post:
With that, I’m excited to announce that I’m going to be joining the staff team of NewSpring Church in Anderson, South Carolina. Perry Noble, one of my favorite bloggers, will be my new boss.
Tony has done alot while at GCC and his blog has given the rest of us a glimpse into the depths of GCC. Tim Stevens confirms the rumor of Tony leaving and shares his thoughts of their time together at GCC. Of course, Perry jumps in with his take on the announcement here.
I’m excited for Tony, as well, New Spring is doing huge things and reaching a bunch of people. There are many similarities, GCC and New Spring are both in rural areas and reaching more people per capita than most churches. (that’s my own personal guess, by the way, but it’s got to be true)
Congratulations to both Terry and Tony for being bold enough to seek God’s will for your life, where ever it takes you.
