Test post from Window Live Writer

After my fiasco last weekend with the phantom posts from my phone, I’m up to something else now.  This is my first post using Windows Live Writer (beta) and I’m on my laptop, as opposed to my phone.  Anyone else using this?  It seems like a good solution, especially since I’m not exactly happy with the WordPress wysiwyg editor.  It’s fine but it tends to not work well when I edit the html directly.

What else is out there?  I found Zoundry and it looks as good or maybe better than MS Live Writer, but since I’ve never heard of it, I’m a little leary.  Let’s put it thru the motions, starting with a quote from Yoda:

Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. I sense much fear in you.

Now, here’s a list of what I’m doing today:

  • Staying inside where it’s warm and not raining ice pellets
  • Grilling ribs
  • Watching movies

This is changing the color of the font.

This concludes our test of Zoundry Windows Live Writer (Beta)

What are you using?

  1. What’s the word? Are you going to stick with Windows Live Writer? How did it work for you?

    Hey Greg,
I like it so far, I did get an error when I hit publish, but it published like it should have. It is super easy to set up and it gives you a web preview of your post. I haven’t had a chance to mess with the html editor yet.

At first glance, I like it and it appears to save a draft of your post on your hard drive, as well. I’ll post again about it in a few days once I have a chance to use it awhile.

  3. I’m a Windows Live Writer man. It’s nice and easy, and great for crafting posts when you’re not on-line. Having all of your posts available offline is another advantage.
