Bible Software Review[1] – Bible Explorer

Bible Explorer has really started to grow on me.  Being new to me, I was skeptical, but it does have a lot of features.  There are a ton of free resources that you can download. Plus there are discussion groups and an active community.

One really cool feature is the Daily Reading Plan.  You can choose the days of the week you want to read, plus you can choose what exactly you want to read and the time frame you want finish.  In the calendar view, you check off each day you read.

The plan screen shows the details of my plan, the days of the week I’m reading, start and end dates, chapters and books read and chapters and books left to read.

You can choose to read just certain sections, such as Old Testament, New Testament, Bible and Apocrypha, Apocrypha, the Law (Pentateuch), Historical Literature, Wisdom Literature, Major Prophets, Minor Prophets, Gospels and Acts, Paul’s Epistles and General Epistles in any time frame you choose.

Of course, there are Commentaries, Concordances, Dictionaries, sermon helps, study notes, word study tools and many more books and literature.

I can’t give this software justice in this space, just go here and download it and try it out for yourself.  You can get a lot of resources for free, but you can also purchase and download many more resources for a nominal fee.

Thank you Julia for giving me a heads up about Bible Explorer.
