Almost 2 1/2 years ago, I started this blog and I had no idea what I was getting into. Basically, it was more of an experiment, just to check out this blogosphere and see what it was all about. It’s truly amazing the things that this blog has enabled me to do. I have made more connections/friends with people, church leaders and pastors than I ever imagined possible and I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface.
One of my goals for this year, that I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, is to have some guest bloggers, with the idea of creating a wider knowledge base. I didn’t have anyone in particular in mind, so keep in mind, that is still an option that’s available.
There is one person who I have secretly wanted to have write for me on here(seriously), but they have resisted. This person is a talented web designer with a heart for the church and has a lot of insight and experience to share.
I have mentioned her from time to time, her name is Mary and she is my geeky wife. I finally beat her 2 out of 3 in arm wrestling, so she has conceded to doing this. (not really)
She will be focusing on the ins and outs of website design and maintenance. Also, she will break down how to think through your design process and even discuss the importance of your church having a well designed, easy to navigate website. We also are discussing some other ideas that we’ll share soon, as soon as we figure them out. We are both excited about this next step in our little experiment.
So, join me in welcoming Mary and watch for her posts to start soon.
Welcome Mary, can’t wait to read your posts!
Yeah… I’ll welcome her once she starts producing material!
Looking forward to reading some great website tips from you Mary.
