Logos Bible Software – My Daily Reading Plan

Scholar's Library - Logos Bible Software 3A while back, I mentioned that Logos has offered to partner with me and I feel like I have been negligent in getting the word out.  So, here we go!

I have never done a very good job of reading my Bible regularly, and Logos is helping me to make daily Bible reading a priority. One thing that I just did this morning is to set up a daily reading plan and I customized it for myself. In the past, I have tried to read the entire Bible in a year and various things like that, and it’s so easy to get off track, so instead of committing myself for the long haul, decided to start by reading through Proverbs.

Proverbs has 31 chapters, so that’s a good monthly read and I’ve heard of people reading a chapter of Proverbs every day along with their other reading. I want to get to where I’m doing more but consider this my first baby step. One chapter of Proverbs a day is a good start and my goal is not to finish in a month.  I’m stretching it out to a month and a half, but I have a valid reason. I’m not including Monday and Thursday mornings in my schedule due to having to be at a 6:30 breakfast both of those days each week. I know, I know, I should just get up 10 minutes earlier on those days, but I want to make this first round as foolproof as possible. I’m starting slow here.

Church Tech Matters has it’s own page at the Logos site and the biggest thing about you going there is you get 25% off your purchase:

Logos Bible Software gets you deeper into the Word and makes every minute count when studying. From the moment you install the software, a window into the Bible will open and you will enjoy Bible study like you never have before. There’s no need to read a manual or have a degree in theology. Logos Bible Software brings God’s word to life in a way that will minister to your whole church.

The above statement is true, there is no need to read a manual, it’s easy to get started, but there’s also so much more, just below the surface.  I’m looking forward to digging deeper.  If you are in the market for quality Bible software, check this out and use the coupon code.

Since I’m new at this partnership/disclaimer stuff and not exactly sure of the right and wrong ways disclose this partnership, I’ll quickly restate what I’ve already said in previous posts.

In no way, does Logos tell me what to say or how or when to say anything, but I know their goal is to get their software into your hands.  I share the things that I share about Logos because I want to and because I feel that it adds value to you, my reader.  I appreciate their partnership with me and my blog and I intend to share things about my experience as I use the software more.

i would ask how you got partnered with them and try to setup something for my website too; my pastor uses their software with an overhead projector every sunday while preaching his sermons, and he swears by it (even though i’ve never had the opportunity to use it). but considering i work for their competition (WORDsearch Corp.) i doubt they’ll want to work with me LOL.

I like the link to Logos! Do you get any kind of kickback or other favors?

As I mentioned in this post here, I do receive credit toward purchasing additional books for my Logos software. Regardless, I wouldn’t be promoting the software if I didn’t believe in their product.

Other than that, I get the satisfaction of knowing I’m providing quality content to my readers.
