Facebook Update
Posted on July 16, 2007
I think I posted about Facebook before, but I thought I would do it again. If you’re on Facebook, add me as a friend. If you’re not on Facebook, then go join real quick and then add me. I promise you’ll have fun, I have found a lot of friends out here, and you can do all kinds of things.
I even saw my wife throw a sheep at one of her friends! Do me a favor, add her as your friend and tell her you found her through CTM. I really just want to see how many of you will become her friend as a result of my request. She just said that she didn’t have many friends.
A couple of weeks ago, I created a group, appropriately named, Church Tech Matters, mainly because I could. Maybe it will be a way for us church tech types to communicate and share ideas. Maybe not. I’m willing to see where it goes, but go ahead and join us. We’ve had a some conversation already out there already. I also just uploaded some pics from the PC Workshop last Saturday, the same ones I posted here, so nothing new.
Also, a brand new group out there is the Church IT Roundtable group which is described as:
A group of people interested in furthering the cause of Christ through Information Technology.
Join that group too and join in the discussion as we prepare for this fall’s Church IT Roundtable at COR in Leawood, KS (Kansas City). Thanks for creating the group, Jason!
It’s all good. Facebook is probably the best, most robust social networking site around lately. Maybe it will survive, maybe it won’t. For now it’s fun to join the community, be a part of the conversation and network.
Click my badge to add me as a friend, c’mon, you know you wanna! A few of you recently have and I appreciate it.
See ya on Facebook.

It will be interesting to see if we can actually leverage facebook to make an impact. Guess we’ll find out soon enough
Hmm. It says I have an incompatible browser, and that I need to use Firefox,,,I’m running Firefox2 right now, so they are already behind the curve.
I’ve heard a lot about facebook though, good luck!
