Easing Back Into Writing

Think Before You BlogI have been totally out of touch the past couple of weeks, it seems. I have been busy and have not taken the time to write anything on here or anywhere else. I’m trying to get caught up and get back in the swing of things. Writing is more and more important to what I do lately, so I thought I would get things started with a link to one of Brian Clark’s latest posts at CopyBlogger titled 10 Steps To Becoming A Better Writer. He makes it sound pretty simple, I like that.

    1. Write.
    2. Write more.
    3. Write even more.
    4. Write even more than that.
    5. Write when you don’t want to.
    6. Write when you do.
    7. Write when you have something to say.
    8. Write when you don’t.
    9. Write every day.
    10. Keep writing.

So, there you have it, that’s my goal, I need to write every day. I haven’t been reading or writing, so I have been really out of touch, late last night was my first time to slow down lately.

By the way, I have had some interesting and encouraging conversations through email and IM with some people over the past couple of weeks and things are still moving and shaking in my world. It just hasn’t translated into posts on here, however I’ve got plenty to write about, so just hang on.

Also, the final sermon in the Evan Almighty series is Sunday, I’ve got one more graphic to get together by tomorrow, however, my biggest accomplishment on Sunday might be to actually remember to hit record before the sermon starts!

(The guy in the comic reminds me of me, except I think he has more hair, just thought I would point that out before anyone else has the chance) :)

It seems the simple things are the most difficult. Writing, believing.

Looking forward to you “catching up”. If you do, there may be hope for me. :)

You mention a sermon series based on Evan Almighty at your church (Fairview Christian). Does the chuch have a website? Are the sermons available as sound files?
