I am introducing a guest blogger to you today. I have known this person for many years and I have seen her grow in many ways. She has worked closely with me over the last few years as I have worked with various forms of technology in our church. Generally, if I’m at church doing something, she is close by, watching, asking questions and learning.
She hears me talk about my blog a lot and is now interested in giving it a shot. I thought it would be interesting to hear her perspective and if she gets into this, maybe she will contribute regularly. Be sure to encourage her with comments as she gets her feet wet in this online world.

Hi I am Rachel. I am 11 years old and in the 6th grade. I like helping my dad at the church. I know how to use EasyWorship because I did it a few years ago for children’s worship at our last church. I have not done it for a couple of years, but I would like to get back into it now. I have also been learning how to use the sound board.
The reason I am writing is to help kids that want to get into technology at their church. Soon I’ll be sharing some ideas about how kids can get involved with technology at their church.
Excellent idea, Rachel.
As a technologist, I often find it difficult to keep in touch with the people I am trying to help. I have found that the best thing is to keep reading, keep listening to everyone. I welcome your viewpoint. It will help people like me (and your dad) help others.
Interestingly (you probably already know this!), the more you express what you know, what you are passionate about, the more you learn and the more you are able to help others. Funny how that works, isn’t it.
Thanks for taking this step to help us understand your point of view on involving your peers in technology. You (and your peers) have so much to offer, and I (for one) welcome your thoughts.
Hi, Rachel! Welcome to the Blogosphere and, in particular, the world of church media. Your perspective as one who has grown up with and around computers and technology will give us an inspiring picture into the world as your generation sees it.
May God bless you in your desire to serve, learn and lead.

Hi Rachel! That’s very cool that you ran EasyWorship at your age. We use that at my church, too. I’m looking forward to my son helping me out at church too, but he’s just a little baby right now! Keep up the good work!
Good job, Rachel! I will look for your comments!
Hey Rachel!!
Make your dad post a new photo of you… it’s been too long since I saw your smiling face.
We like living in California. There’s a lot of stuff out here that you’d like to see. Make your dad bring you and Kelsey to San Diego for a visit. We can go to the Zoo, to SeaWorld and even Universal Studios. If you come to visit at the right time of the year, we’ll go out whale watching.
Blog often with your dad and I’ll be looking for your posts. Sandee
