Have you checked out YouVersion yet?
Probably not, unless you were invited to try the private beta version. It’s a sweet Bible study site with a ton of potential. You can tag and star and Email content, plus journal and add content. Also, you can add thoughts, links, images and videos to any passage of scripture. The MyVersion tab adds additional functionality:
The MyVersion feature allows you to organize the content that’s important to you and bring it front and center.
You can begin by selecting, then tagging (
) or starring (
) content and Bible verses that resonate with your studies. You can easily refer back to materials you’ve previously viewed and save yourself valuable time by coming back to the MyVersion tab.
There are 5 versions to choose from:
- American Standard Version (ASV)
- King James Version (KJV)
- World English Bible
- English Standard Version (ESV)
- Smith and Van Dyke Arabic Bible
Out of those choices, I like ESV. Once you log in to YouVersion, here is some of what it tells you:

I have been using YouVersion a week or a little more and I have barely scratched the surface. I missed out on the alpha release, might have been sent to spam, but I did get the invite for the private beta. Watch for it’s public release sometime this week.
Also, keep up with the latest at the YouVersion blog. Once again, LifeChurch.tv is pushing it out to the edge!

Neat. This has awesome potential, especially if you can use it with mashups like Intel’s Mash maker. I see there’s a future capability of adding audio to a passage, which would be awesome, you could get yourself an audio bible.
Now, if this can be accessed from my mobile device so I can take notes during sermons, I’m TOTALLY sold.
