KidzPro Check-In System - Go Live Sunday

Posted on February 27, 2008

Scott Jester - KidzProFor the past few months I have been working with a local church to get KidzPro purchased, installed and implemented and this coming Sunday, we are going live.

Last Sunday, I went out for awhile to do training with about 15 volunteers and I think they are ready to go.   KidzPro is fairly straightforward and easy to operate.

For those that do not know, KidzPro is a child check-in system that is suitable for large and small churches.  Last I knew it is being used by churches with 2,000 members down to church startups.  KidzPro is typically run on 2 computers that connect to each other via a wireless network or CAT5 network, there is no additional server necessary and it’s a low maintenance system.  KidzPro is all about keeping our kids safe and they are always working to make it better.

I’m looking forward to this Sunday, these guys have really done their homework to prepare for a whole new way of managing everything concerning the children’s ministry including the flow of people in and out of the department, picking kids up and tracking children in general.

It will be different to not be at my own church this Sunday, but I think I have everything covered, including someone to direct both services.  I think this will be the beginning of raising up at least one volunteer to step up and give me some backup.  It’s time and he’s ready.

By the way, the picture above is Scott Jester and I at Catalyst last fall.  Scott is the driving force behind KidzPro and he is very much interested in continuing to make the software be the best it can be.  The funny thing is, I’m not sure who that kid is trying to jump into our picture, he sure is excited!

For full disclosure, I don’t work for KidzPro but I do earn a fee for all referrals, plus a little bit for my time if I do any setup and training.

So, if you’re interested, give Scott a call or send him an e-mail and tell him that I sent you!
