Easter is upon us. It’s a big day for the church, clearly, and I know many churches are ramping up this week to Sunday. Last night and tonight, for 2 different events, we have had unexplainable technical difficulties and it reminds me of the importance of praying for our technology.
Coincidentally, I have written about praying for tech for the past 2 years at about this time of year. Sadly, I don’t practice it like I should. I have tried to write about this point but the reality is there are several really good posts in the CTM archives. Recently, I added a link to my sidebar to this page highlighting this concept.
Other links here and here to other posts on the topic.
We’ll be at Fairview at 7:00pm Saturday evening to pray over the tech. Come join us! Why don’t you do the same at your church?
I’ll leave you with this thought:
Can satan use technology to distract from the message he doesn’t want you to hear?
You better believe it.
Great post! My pastor found this and as one of the coordinators for our Atmosphere ministry team, I totally relate to what you are saying! Rarely do I pray over the equipment that I use nor the team that helps to run it as well.
Only recently has the tech team joined the worship team to pray before the service on Sundays but it has definitely enhanced the attitude of our team. Even when Satan breaks into our chapel and screws things up, we are completely focused on Him and are able to accept His help in times of need!
Keep up the postings!!

Hey man, sorry I haven’t commented in a while, but I’m checking you out every day.
Great post! I too am guilty of not praying over my stuff and people. Often, it’s too easy to just blame the gear, and not see the one who is behind it all. I’m gonna make some changes.
No I don’t pray for tech in your church or ours.
I will start doing that. What a good time to start….Easter Sunday. Grammy
